1) Timely information about new and innovate products and/or events.
2) ready access to high res product shots when focused on specific new products.
The second bullet is the one that has been lacking to date from most PR types -- one of my publishers really likes to use standard studio product images with my column. They want pictures that simply present the product in a stand-alone "glamour"/catalogue-type shot. Having a dedicated URL or even an FTP site where high res catalogue shots can be grabbed at any time would be a god-send. A few companies and PR agencies do this, but most don't.
I would not say it's lacking from all, there are some stars, but, pro-active engagement with new products/news/events, 24/7 access to hi-rez images, more hard info/details and less fluff in releases.
Well if my small newspaper is too small for you to find us --- how do I find you?
Somewhat related example - I am a member of a dining group which has a membership of over 500 members, active probably 100 with the others just keeping tabs on the ratings we provide for restaurants visited. This group hosts events an average of 2-4 times a week. Obviously there is a media/VIP list for restaurant news - how can we get our leadership on that list?
