PitchEngine

I'm looking for success stories -- best practices -- using the PitchEngine SMNR. There's two reason why I looking for this information: 1.) I use SMNRs and would like to learn how to make them more effective, and 2.) I'm writing a story for the Hoosier PRSA Chapter blog, which I manage. Here's the questions:

What tips and tricks have you found useful that gets a SMNR lots of traffic?
Is pitching directly to the medis still important with an SMNR? Why?
What characteristics make a successful SMNR successful?

Let me know if you're open for a more indepth interview.

Roger,

I linked a Pitchengine SMR to a Squidoo lens to help promote a Shopping Center Spring Fling (Festival) back on May 16th in Hidden Valley Lake, CA. Guess what happened? I got a letter of accommodation by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. Now, what's extremely amazing about that is that I did not even ask for the letter. So, how did that happen? Answer - game theory. Someone told the Governor and he figured out sending the letter was a good idea. That someone was Marty Keller, Small Business Advocate for California. But, why did Marty do that? Because I was asking him to come to the event and in the process of asking drew his attention to the Squidoo Lens. And, what gave the Squidoo Lens its credibility? What the lens showcased at the very beginning - the Pitchengine SMR. You can still see the SMR, the Governor's letter and the comment in the Squidoo Guest Book by Marty Keller by going to Family Fun.

I should also point out that on March 3rd a message was sent to me by RetweetRader.com. The third-party Twitter application tracks all the retweeted messages on Twitter.com. They informed me that one of my tweets was among the most retweeted messages in the world at 2 p.m. that day. Well, that message was promoting the Spring Fling with a Pitchengine SMR link.
