The Hardesters Shopping Center in Hidden Valley Lake, CA is having a Spring Fling on Saturday, May 16th. We would love to have press coverage from the Bay Area - even though we are two hours to the north. We would love to have Twitter and Squidoo experts show up with laptops as the shopping center is a Wi-Fi hot spot. Moreover, we would like to bring the local community up-to-speed regarding social media on the Internet. Can you come to the party with your laptop and encourage someone who has that expertise to come to the party?

Also, we have a Squidoo lens that is currently in the Top 10 and we would like to move it into the Number 1 position by Saturday, May 16th. About Me:
I am the principal of Socialized, a consultancy that helps companies make effective use of social media in public relations, marketing and corporate communications. I also write and speak on public relations, social media and executive communications.

My background includes 20 years of corporate communications experience, and nearly a decade of Fortune 500 leadership, at Hewlett-Packard and Sun Microsystems. For four years I was the speechwriter to the CEO of Sun. Prior to launching Socialized, I was EVP of Emerging Media at Eastwick, a mid-sized Silicon Valley tech PR agency, where I ran the agency's social media practice and consulted clients such as Seagate Technology, Fujitsu, and JDSU.

I have a BA degree in communications and an associate degree in law enforcement, and I hold several technology patents. My book, SocialCorp: Social Media Goes Corporate, was published in December, 2008 by New Riders, an imprint of Peachpit. It's on Amazon http://is.gd/73Sh and will be in major bookstores soon.

I have lived in or near the Silicon Valley since before the discovery of silicon. My home is in Boulder Creek, in the Santa Cruz Mountains.
