I posted a blog last month (Pitch Media Using Twitter) about adopting Twitter as a viable way to pitch journalists using Twitter.

Well, PR 2.0's Brian Solis agrees as his post today calls for the use of Twitter for PR pros. Brian calls it MicroPR, a term Stowe Boyd discussed in his previous blogs when he came up with the concept.

As I did in my previous post, I support the concept and believe it could be a great way to interact and pitch media contacts- keyword being contacts. It's critical, especially with the recent pr spam incidents that we as PR pros utilize these tools responsibly. Not all media use Twitter (Brian's list will reveal), and the ones that do may not be using it in that context. Don't pitch unless you're fully prepared to follow it with a link to press materials.

Take a read through Brian's post and see what it's all about. What do you think?
