Hi all,

Thanks to a post from Marianna Haye's, I was intrigued to write a quick post about our plans to 'eMarket' in the new year.

I've been 'drinking the social media coolaid' for quite some time now...and I personally think that all organizations need to really think hard about their participation in social media in 2009.

We all do a lot in terms of eMarketing, but we can ALWAYS be doing more. We can always try to make our website stronger...make our email campaignsbetter...make our tweets more thoughtful...make our blog posts more often...

Whatever the case, I feel it is important to make sure our team is on the same page with us and that there is steady progress in the right direction.

In terms of our team, we are implementing the following policy in '09. Everyone on our team must:

- Tweet at least 3 times a week (each team member has an account, and the company as a whole has one)
- Blog at least once a month (on the company blog...individuals are also encouraged to maintain their own blog)
- Contribute to, or strengthen our monthly email marketing pieces
- Participate in monthly website enhancement sessions
- Track and comment on at least 2 blogs a week

There are about 10 tactics like those mentioned above that everyone will be responsible for. But what's interesting is that this is completely feasible...each of the tactics above can be done quickly.

It just takes a paradigm shift

How will you eMarket in 09? What tactics will you employ? How will you shift paradigms?

Great policy for '09. I myself have been trying to get more involved in social media space for my clients and myself but still feel like I don't have a grip on it as a whole. It seems that PR and marketing are merging into one, especially online. For '09, I'm trying to get my clients to practice more blogging and tweeting on their own. Expressing to them how it can be quick, easy, beneficial and fun.
