Hi all,
Well, I don't know about you...but I'm addicted to eMarketing.
I'm always on the lookout for the newest technologies that can help me grow my business and spread my brand awareness. However, I know it's not all about the tactical implementation, it's about the strategy.
I was intrigued by this article I read about a month ago, talking about how you have to "choose the social media platforms that work for you". And it made me think: "I should focus only on about 5 web 2.0 tools and spend 80% of my time on them". Take a look at this image:

But how can you only focus on 5? In an average week, I spend time on the following sites or platforms:
- Facebook
- LinkedIn
- Twitter
- del.icio.us
- Stumbleupon
- Flickr
- Slideshare
- My wordpress blog
- digg
- Wetpaint
- Ning
- upcoming.org
As I write this, I'm thinking of more and more... Alas, some of these websites have driven business my way. It's mostly been 'long-tail business', not a flood of contacts, but nice and steady.
What do you think is the most successful 'mix' or 'recipe' to some of the sites above (or your own recipe?) There's got to be some sort of optimized way to deal with this stuff!
I'm reading 'groundswell', and it's blowing my mind. Maybe it will help shed some light on the issue for me...but what are your thoughts?
